Banknote Corporation of America to Expand in Greensboro; Create 50 Jobs; Invest $28 Million

Banknote Corporation of America, a commercial security printer headquartered in Greensboro, will expand its facility in northeast Greensboro, investing $28 million. The company will construct a modern 20,000 sq ft facility and create 50 new jobs. Banknote Corporation of America produces high-security documents for various governments, financial institutions and consumer brands.

PartnerHero Selects Greensboro and Will Hire 200

PartnerHero, a technology services company that outsources customer support and quality assurance for businesses across the food, e-commerce, and health industries will hire around 200 new positions. The average pay range for these new positions is $18.77 per hour, according to Amber Parks, Chief of Staff at PartnerHero.

“As we looked at locations across the country, it was clear that Greensboro could offer a winning combination of a thriving tech cluster, respected educational institutions, and a welcoming community,” Steve Chrabaszewski, COO of PartnerHero, said. PartnerHero said they hope the move to Greensboro will foster more partnerships with community members and they plan to embrace practicing sustainability.

Reliance Packaging to Expand in Moore County; Invest $7.4 Million and Create 32 Jobs

Reliance Packaging, LLC, a manufacturer of printed plastic packaging, will add 32 new jobs in Moore County. The company will invest more than $7.4 million to expand its operations and increase its capacity in the Town of Aberdeen. Operating in Aberdeen since 2014, Reliance Packaging extrudes plastic resin into printed heavy duty plastic bags and film for the lawn and garden market as well as many other outdoor applications. A Joint Venture with Sigma Plastic Group, Reliance extrudes, prints, and converts, along with developing brands and graphic designs for high-quality products to hold mulch, soil and decorative lawn rock that are sold throughout various outlets, including Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Walmart, across the United States. This expansion includes building improvements and two additional multi-layer film extruders for the 180,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.

Reliance Packaging already reprocesses between 10,000 to 20,000 pounds of waste plastic every day and the installation of this new technology and automation will facilitate higher quality products with an eco-friendly solution.”

New positions, including extruder operators, material handlers, and quality control technicians, will have varying salaries, but altogether the average annual wage is $53,000. The Moore County average is $51,824. These new jobs could potentially create an annual payroll impact of more than $1.6 million.

Cosmetics & Cleaners International to Locate in High Point; Invest $8 Million and Create 24 Jobs

Cosmetics & Cleaners International LLC, a leading contract manufacturer of cosmetics and personal care products, will add 24 new jobs in Guilford County. The company will invest $8.4 million to locate a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the City of High Point. Headquartered in Miami, Cosmetics & Cleaners International, d/b/a C&C Industries, provides contract manufacturing, filling, private labeling, packaging, and distributing services of over-the-counter topical, beauty, and personal care products such as oils, shampoos, and fragrances. As an FDA-registered manufacturer, C&C Industries distributes products in all 50 states to large department stores and retailers for national and globally recognized brands. This new production site will cover 108,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations following cGMP standards.

New positions include chemists, line workers, quality assurance technicians, R&D personnel, warehouse and managerial staff. Although salaries will vary by position, the average annual wage will be $59,333 which exceeds the Guilford County average of $58,843. These new jobs could potentially create an annual payroll impact of more than $1.4 million for the region.

Excel Interior Door, LLC to Relocate Headquarters to Winston-Salem; Invest $10.5 Million

Excel Interior Door, LLC, a manufacturer of residential doors, will create at least 37 new jobs as it relocates its headquarters to Forsyth County. The company will invest $10.5 million to establish its administrative offices and a new manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem.

Excel Interior Doors manufactures high-quality interior doors for single- and multi-family homes. With operations starting in 2011, the manufacturer includes team members with more than 30 years of experience constructing each door with custom specifications for size, style, and functionality. The new East Coast location will be 148,000 square feet of space to help the company meet increased demand with a higher production volume and decreased transit time.

Salaries will vary by position; however, the average annual wage is $64,474, which exceeds the Forsyth County average of $60,038. These new jobs could potentially create an annual payroll impact of more than $2.38 million for the region.
