Opsun Corporation Chooses High Point; Creates 20 Jobs, Invests $9.3 Million

Opsun Corporation, a manufacturer of structures for solar panels, will create 20 new jobs in Guilford County. The company will invest $9.3 million to build its first United States production facility in High Point. Headquartered in Quebec City, Opsun Corporation designs and manufactures aluminum solar panel mounting structures for commercial, industrial, and residential markets.

While wages vary by position, the annual average salary for the new positions will be $63,015, exceeding Guilford County’s average of $60,195. These new jobs could potentially create an annual payroll impact of more than $1.2 million for the region.

Yeadon Fabric Domes to Invest $4.6 million and Create 72 New Jobs in Cumberland County

Yeadon Fabric Domes, LLC, a manufacturer of air supported structures, will invest $4.6 million to build a manufacturing facility in Fayetteville; creating 72 new jobs. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of climate-controlled domed structures. Yeadon Fabric Domes’ air-supported facilities provide large, open spaces for a variety of sporting venues and applications. Yeadon Fabric Domes will build a 72-foot-tall domed structure in a 50,000 sq ft production site at the Fayetteville Regional Airport.

While salaries will vary by position; the average annual salary for the new jobs will be $47,734, exceeding the Cumberland County average of $47,175. The new jobs could create a potential annual payroll impact of more than $3.4 million.

SBA Home Chooses Davie County; Creates 250 Jobs, Invests $50.8 Million

SBA Home has selected Mocksville as the site for its first U.S. furniture manufacturing facility. The company will create 250 jobs and invest $50.8 million by the end of 2029.

The new jobs will have an average annual wage of $53,470, exceeding Davie County’s current average wage. New positions include manufacturing and warehousing positions, as well as administrative and managerial roles and could create a potential payroll impact of more than $13.3 million.
SBA Home is the largest division of SBA Grupe UAB, a Lithuanian conglomerate, that exports furniture to 50 different countries around the world. After more than 20 years, the company has grown to employ more than 3,000 employees in four manufacturing facilities and a distribution center in Lithuania. The division exports 800 products, including wood veneer furniture, cabinets, sofas, and armchairs, to 50 countries.

MetOx International Inc. to Invest $193.7 million and Create 333 New Jobs in Chatham County

MetOx International Inc., a pioneering manufacturer of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) wire, will invest $193.7 million to build a major production facility in Chatham County, creating 333 jobs. Headquartered in Houston, MetOx International aims to strengthen domestic supply chains and accelerate innovation in advanced energy technologies. HTS enables ultra-efficient power transmission with no energy loss, making it a game-changer for power grids, data centers, and next-gen defense and aerospace systems. MetOx’s Xeus™ HTS wire, to be produced at the new plant, can deliver up to ten times the efficiency of traditional copper cables, helping meet the rising power needs of AI and clean energy industries.
Although wages will vary by position, the average salary of the new positions is $75,132, bringing more than $25 million of annual payroll growth to the region. The current average wage in Chatham County stands at $48,413.

Cherokee Tobacco Company Selects Caswell County; Creates 39 Jobs, Invest $14 Million

Cherokee Tobacco Company will create 39 new jobs and invest more than $14 million to build a new manufacturing and distribution operation in Caswell County. Cherokee Tobacco Company is a family-owned business that has manufactured and sold its own brand of cigarettes, cigars, and pipe products for more than two decades.

The new build-to-suit facility will provide a clean manufacturing space to add new, next-generation product lines. The company will consolidate their existing operations, along with JEB International, into one 65,000-square-foot location in Pelham.
Although salaries will vary by position, the average annual wage will be $65,154, which exceeds the Caswell County average of $43,046. These new jobs could potentially create an annual payroll impact of more than $2.5 million for the region.
